Machus was founded in November of 2011 with a focus on bringing modern clothing from a wide assortment of creative desginers from around the world. We work very closely with the reps and designers to curate the very best collection possible from each label for our asthetic. We believe in well-made items with a supurb fit that will last.

 

Our last store, Local35 was around for 8 years and was listed on many best-of lists including the GQ100.

Who We Are

Justin Machus is from Madison Wisconsin and has lived in Portland for 11 years. He studied photography at UW Madison and started Local35 when he was 25. Justin is a fifth generation retailer and has learned everything he knows from a successful lineage of diverse retailers

 

Huyen Hoang was born in Vietnam and moved to the USA in 1995. She has years of retail experience while working for Justin's mother back in Madison Wisconsin. She moved out to Portland to help with this new store Machus and has been a huge asset to the business.
