My personal style is all about simplicity and function. I can easily go from working the floor with customers to hauling a new fixture across town. I like to be able to do it all in the same outfit. I also tend to like a uniform and will rock the same look for days at a time.
Round 2 for me includes a new batch of essentials, or at least essentials to me...
1. Black Dakini chain bracelet.
Made by hand in Copenhagen Denmark, these items are all created by the same women by hand. The few stores that she works with all get to choose a custom assortment of jewelry. No two stores will have the same selection. Black Dakini really blew up a few years ago when Kanye visited her tiny shop in Denmark and is now a devoted fan.
2. A CITY ON FIRE
A fragrance created as a collaboration between MACHUS and Portland based Imaginary Authors. This scent comes to life in the fall and winter. We wanted something that represented the store and all the scents that we love from northwest winters; evening campfires, dark whiskey barrels, and a general feeling of being somewhere not in a city but not on the woods.
3. The Cropped Cargo Jean by Helmut Lang
Beautful black denim featuring exaggerated side cargo pockets and a drop crotch with cropped length. A perfect excercise in proportions. The leather lanyard is a nice touch too.
4. The Jumbo T by DRKSHDW by Rick Owens.
ths one is on my list for the second time and for good reason... I'm still wearing it every day. Iconic, easy and works with everything I own. Worth the investment, even for a t.
5. Vegan Scuba Sock by DRKSHDW by Rick Owens.
I'm no vegan, but I'd switch if it meant all shoes we this good. It works perfectly with shorts, cropped pants or skinny jeans. Super unique, super versatile.
